I became Redwood’s Chairman in April 2008. After many years in senior management in such multinationals as Sony, EMI and ITT I was a Managing Director and main board member of a publicly listed Telecommunications Group before founding Crane Telecommunications Group Ltd. in 1990. This grew to be the largest distributor of business telecommunications equipment in Europe until its acquisition by the Westcon Group in 2007.
One of my customers in Crane was Redwood, a business which I had always held in high esteem, so when the opportunity came to invest and become an equal shareholder and lead the company through its next phase of development I did not hesitate.
Redwood is a great company with great customers and great people.
Along with David Hamer I am one of the founding principals of Redwood, having been with the Company since 1992. Prior to joining Redwood I worked in journalism, PR and Marketing with a particular interest in Technology. I was a co-Director of a London based PR Consultancy which was later sold to a major UK advertising agency. I have a degree (BSc) and a post graduate degree (MPhil) in Psychology, the latter from Sussex University.
I am responsible for Redwood’s Connect business, providing our customers with high quality network services solutions in mobile, voice and data, all from leading networks and backed by Redwood’s excellence in customer service – my objective is to provide our customers with a technology experience second to none.
Away from work I enjoy the company of my family and friends and all sports, in particular Tennis, Cricket and Rugby as well as country pursuits such as fishing and shooting.
I’m very proud to be one of Redwood’s founders when we first set up in 1992, working from the back room of my London home. Previously I had worked in sales in the telecoms sector after moving back to England from Trinidad in the Caribbean where I was born.
Today our business is about applying our technology and experience to help organisations work effectively so I spend a lot of time talking to clients in our focus sectors to understand what challenges we can help them overcome. My role is to create useful propositions with this insight and to look after some of our key client and supplier relationships.
When not at work I’m busy with family life and enjoy playing football, tennis and golf.

My career in telecoms started in 1998 after serving 12 years with the Army. I started out as an engineer and worked my way from the field into management. I joined Redwood in 2007 as the Service Manager and am responsible for the Customer Service Centre, Engineering and Project Management teams. I enjoy meeting regularly with our customers to ensure we provide the best possible service and to get ideas for developing our service offers for the future.
Outside of work I practice and teach karate and love spending time with my family.
I’m an experienced Sales Manager with 10 successful years selling voice and data solutions such as VoIP, mobile and PBX integration, software, hardware, consultancy and managed services. My goal is to ensure our customers are turned into fans of Redwood by becoming their trusted advisors. This is achieved by having a thorough understanding of their business and the issues they face to help drive solutions and services that make clear demonstrable returns. I aim to consistently deliver a service that goes beyond the promise.
My desire is that the knowledge gained from my MBA and my previous roles will help our team deliver to the high standards that our customers require from us. My background is working for large corporate companies such as O2, Orange and Carphone Warehouse all of which taught me the importance of a structured, honest, consistent and fair work ethic.
I live in Chichester, West Sussex and am an avid lover of sailing.
I am the Finance Manager at Redwood and I came on board in May 2009 just in time to start paternity leave when my son was born three weeks later. I work closely with the four members of the finance team to ensure we meet the business needs and that suitable controls are in place. My accounting background is with large companies such as Carphone Warehouse, Gillette and Jigsaw and I am looking forward to using my experience to help Redwood grow.
I am a qualified Management Accountant (CIMA) with a degree in Spanish and Economics and I spend as much spare time as I can with my young family.
I started at Redwood in 1997 as Office Manager, one of three long serving employees who started in the same year.
I am very much a “people” person and a few years later, I became certified as Advisor in Human Resources and currently manage HR internally.
In recent years I took over the management of our Customer Service contracts. In combination these roles are both challenging and rewarding and each day brings different challenges and issues to resolve. In doing so, I interact with every member of staff as well as customers and suppliers.
One of Redwood’s aims has always been not only customer satisfaction but customer excellence and I like to think that alongside strong teams with specific skill sets, I play an important role in helping the company achieve this.
